The cutting edge
You’ve got widgets and wild ideas in need of shaping and we’ve got just to tools to do it. Our wood and foam studio is equipped with the kind of cutting and carving tools that you cannot easily pick up at the corner hardware store. Here’s a look at just a few.
Tools & Equipment
Here's a serious piece of equipment with a silly name. The Frogmill is a foam-carving machine that can create full 3D carvings — up to 4 feet in diameter and 8 feet in length — from a single piece of material.
Scroll saw
This is the specialty saw you probably don't have in your garage, capable of cuts so clean you don't have to sand them. It's great for intricate parts that require precision.
It's OK to work with wood scraps and rough cuts. A planer can smooth out any irregularities, shaving the wood to a uniform thickness. It's also great for beveling and other finishing techniques.
