Scott's
roundabout journey into the world of written communication began with his love for radio.
While working for a small FM outlet, he offered to write articles for an companion
publication produced by the station, and quickly realized he enjoyed putting words to
paper even more than reading the "1-0-4-cast" and the legal ID between Andy
Williams and Carpenters songs. After ten years with advertising agencies and PR firms in Chicago (among them Doremus & Company and Smith, Badofsky & Raffel), he drifted to Indianapolis. There he spent three more years with an ad agency before deciding to go into business for himself. These days, he handles all sorts of written communications for all sorts of clients -- from local businesses to corporate giants. He takes particular delight in turning complex and esoteric subject matter into easily understood English, so it's no surprise that many of his clients are in the financial and industrial arenas. And yes, he does keep a hand in radio by writing and producing spots. Scott lives in Plainfield, Indiana with his wife, Andrea, three children, two cats, and a dog. |
