|
| For twelve years,
Dave Dufour was an advertising and public
relations executive and writer. During that time, he became very active in community
theatre as both an actor and director. Then, in 1987, realizing that his first love was
performing, he co-founded Act II Associates, Inc., a business and educational theatre
company that uses comedy, music and theatrics to communicate and motivate. As a solo performer, or working with various other performers as needed, Dave travels nationwide speaking and performing on such topics as customer service, creativity, sales and health, as well as producing custom shows for corporate clients. He also writes and produces corporate audiotape programs which combine humorous "radio" theatre with straightforward information. Dave's motivational characters include super-wimp Phil Fairchild, investigative reporter Waldo Riviera, Bob the Brown-noser, Creativity Coach Otis P. Hatcher, salesman Bob Easy, game show host Bart Felcher, Mr. Roget, Farley's Ghost and Televangelist Reverend Percival Gideon. Dufour recently joined forces with Creativity head honcho Peter Lloyd to present the first Right Brain Works/Act II Associates Creativity Festival for 100 members of the CompuServe marketing staff. He is currently hoping to find a publisher for a book of business-oriented sketch comedy for meeting planners and other business people. Dufour lives in Elkhart, Indiana with his wife Michele, and three children, Demaree, Paige and Dylan. |
