| David Rhodes Brown has
been an innovator since the tender age of 14, when he began a life long love
affair with music as a lead vocalist for a group of junior high schoolers
calling themselves "The Weejuns."
David kept Cincinnati on the musical cutting edge with the creation of his bands "40 Fingers," "The Attitude," "The Wet Spots," a 20+ year run with "The Warsaw Falcons" and "Big Bill Pickle and the Legendary Jerkin Gherkins." He currently plays, records and tours with "The StarDevils," "500 Miles to Memphis," "Catalog Cowboys" and "The Modified." He frequently sits in and records with many other local acts. David has played with the likes of Bo Diddly and the Drifters, Bobby Keyes (saxophonist for the Rolling Stones), Michael "Supe" Grande of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Big Joe Duskin, Orangie Ray Hubbard, Rusty York and Rosie Flores, just to name a few. David writes, sings, arranges and plays guitar, non-pedal lap steel, organ and piano. On the entrepreneurial side, David founded and acts as CEO for DRB Services, a roofing company specializing in all applications for new construction and residential roofs, gutters and siding. He is in the process of opening his first branch in Austin Texas. David resides just outside of Rabbit Hash KY, a picturesque blip on the map known internationally as the only town to have elected a dog as their mayor, and known locally as being a musical and artistic Mecca. Although this may make it sound as if David is a very busy man, his energy is boundless. Check back for updates on whatever he may come up with next! |
